Review: Atlantic City 2001: Front Row

On Friday we sat in the 6th row. On Saturday : FRONT ROW!!! First time in 11 years. I brought along a sympathy card I had been carrying around for almost a year as well as a picture to be signed. I also hand-wrote a note asking Alan to please sing Where I Come From in Hershey as it is Rachel's favorite song. Anyway being in the front row is totally incredible. I am spoiled now for life! He sang basically the same songs as Friday (see song list below) except he added Tall Tall Trees in the beginning, and left out Right on the Money. He also pulled up a stool and sat down to sing I'll Go on Loving You. He took my note and my card, kind of made a funny looking face, like "what's this?" as everyone else was giving him flowers etc. Later when Where I Come From came on, I stood up and was singing it. He looked at me and pointed and nodded at me. I think maybe he was acknowledging a true fan knowing all the words to a song that hadn't even been released yet. (At least that is my heart's belief...lol). Oh Yea, I also was up on the big screen while I was singing it as well! During Mercury Blues, my hubby reached up the picture we brought and Alan signed it! Overall an incredible two nights!!! Thanks Alan!
