Review: Atlantic City 2003

Alan wore his tan fringe shirt with newly pressed blue jeans. They were different jeans from the night before because the hole was in the other knee. Here is a quote from my neighbor who went with us and has a little baby at home: "Alan's knee is soooo smooth and tan it looks like Julia's soft round butt". HAHAHAHA. Wonder if he has someone come over and do "make-up" on his knee before he goes onstage? Anyway he sang just about the same songs as the night before, except he didn't sing Home. My kids were feeling much better and enjoyed the whole show. Rachel and her friend both held up Bitty Baby dolls during Little Bitty and were on the big screen (the highlight of their night). Oh yea, this time during Summertime Blues there were lots of beachballs being hit throughout the audience. I think they may have come from Alan's gang but not absolutely positive. It was cool though because everyone was hitting them around the arena while he was singing. My kids did make a huge sign with a rainbow on it, hoping Alan would see it and sing Chasin That Neon Rainbow during his unplugged set. Although the camera men zoomed in on it, I don't know if Alan could see it or not. He didn't sing the song though. Maybe another time. I think I will send the poster to be signed because its really cute especially Rachel's drawing of Alan. During Where I Come From, Alan's film crew did get a couple pictures of Lucy the Elephant again this year (a landmark in Margate NJ) which was great for me to see as I used to walk down to see her every summer when I visited my Grandma. Overall it was a really fun (though tiring....must be the old age creeping in) weekend. Over too soon. We are looking forward to more concerts in the future!!!
